Constructed from custom high tech materials
The HYPAR design team worked in close collaboration with DS Smith, a leading European corrugated plastics manufacturer, to develop the perfect material for the hull which is both lightweight & reliably robust at the same time. We are proud to introduce a custom Akyboard™ polypropylene material specifically adapted for marine conditions and the unique design aspects of HYPAR.

Fold it into a backpack
Designed to be carried as a backpack, HYPAR utilises a cutting edge, material to achieve a diminutive weight of under 8Kg! Thanks to its modest dimensions, HYPAR fits most cars and storage locations and is even suitable for airline luggage.

The perfectly streamlined, sleek hull is outlined by hard chine running from the razor sharp wave piercing bow to the wide stern. The HYPAR outline provides exceptional hydrodynamic properties culminating in ultra-low drag, perfect course holding and impressive form stability.

This revolutionary concept started with the unique shape of the hull which is designed around a sharp bow and wide stern by forming two counterpoised Hyperbolic-Paraboloids. Hence the name HYPAR.
This form resembles the water surface when pierced by a moving object. The angle and shape of HYPAR was matched with water wake patterns, thereby reducing distortion and drag.
The HYPAR`s hull shape leads for significant improvement in maritime design.
Can HYPAR be set for Sailing?
Sailing ability is one of many advantages of HYPAR concept. For the Sailing mode HYPAR is equipped with range of Sails, Out-rigs and Fin rudders controlled by feet pedals.
How many times HYPAR can be folded?
Despite lightweight Akyboard plastic is sufficiently robust and durable. The factory estimation shows that the Plastic can undertake more than 20k repetitive folds. That exceeds 20 years of daily use.
Why the HYPAR Kayak project is Sustainable?
We established a revolutionary recycling policy. Our company provides life-long support for the materials. Damaged hulls shall be replaced with only a small fee charged to cover transportation and recycling. This policy will prevent our plastic from ending up in ocean waters.
